Why do you love teaching yoga? I love creating a safe and supportive space for each participant to experience their inner wisdom and awareness. With the invitation to bring that awareness off their mats in support of living a more peaceful and joyful life.

What can students expect to experience in your class? Each class is built around a theme to cultivate a beginner's mind and sense of curiosity. I break down and pandiculate in and out of the poses. This supports each participants' self-awareness, and meets them where they are in the present moment. In addition to the physical asana, our practices weave in Yoga philosophy, breathwork, sense and nervous-system regulation, and meditation techniques. This can help release long-held tension patterns in the body and mind, resulting in a greater sense of ease, comfort, and clarity.

What is the greatest benefit of yoga? Yoga gives us the opportunity to slow down, be more present in our awareness, and begin to free ourselves from the habits and patterns that may no longer serve us. With awareness comes the opportunity to choose to live our lives more authentically, cultivating greater ease, compassion, and joy, both for ourselves and in our relationships in the world.

Personal Inclusivity Statement Love all, exclude none.

I'm deeply honored to be a part of the ancient teachings of Yoga, to hold space for and meet each individual where they are.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I experience the stresses and challenges of living in a society that often seeks to "other" us. Yoga brings us back to our deeper truth and knowing, supporting our resilience, building own capacity for self-care and care of others.

My Yoga journey also inspires me to build practices in support of aging well. Yoga gives us tools to work mindfully with our body, mind, and energy, to support quality of life and health throughout all the stages of our lives.
