Why do you love teaching yoga?

I feel that modern yoga is a vital, powerful healing agent in our world. Being in the present moment & learning how to cultivate grace - that moment between stimulus & reaction - can change all aspects of your life as it has mine. I love sharing the knowledge that I’ve been so fortunate to be able to receive.

What can students expect to experience in your class?

In my classes, expect dynamic movement, breathwork, guided meditations, energy visualizations, & for flow classes, a physical challenge. My goal is for students to leave feeling lighter & stronger physically, emotionally & spiritually. I’m a bookworm & a musician, so you’re also likely to encounter literary quotes, poetry, maybe some hand pan or tongue drum playing during savasana, & a bit of aromatherapy.

What is the greatest benefit of yoga?

Connection -  to your body, your higher self & others.

Personal Inclusivity Statement

My father has been confined to a wheelchair after an accident left him quadriplegic almost 20 years ago. I’m a passionate believer that yoga & all it encompasses can benefit people of all physical abilities.

I stand strong with marginalized communities & am so proud to be part of this loving, socially-responsible yoga community.
