Seva

What is Seva?

“Seva” is a Sanskrit word meaning “selfless service” or work performed without any thought of reward or repayment.

Seva, the practice of selfless service, is thought to originate from two forms of yoga, Karma Yoga, the yoga of action, & Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of worship inspired by divine love.

At Mala Yoga Center, we are dedicated to uplifting our community & will always donate when we are able. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve our community.

Mala Yoga is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, accessible, & inclusive space for all identities to share their love of yoga.  We are committed to increasing diversity in the yoga community, which is why we have created the Allyship Fund.

By donating to the Allyship Fund, you are helping to create a more balanced representation in the yoga community & aid in closing the wellness gap & breaking barriers for underserved communities.  We hope that the Allyship Fund will help by sharing knowledge, resources, community, & a safe space for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, QTPOC, & disabled communities.

If you would like to donate to the Allyship Fund, please go to our shop in Wellness Living.  Any & all donation amounts are welcome & will help in creating a more equitable & empowering space at Mala Yoga.
