Why do you love teaching yoga?

I love watching the transformations unfold before my eyes in my students. It brings me so much joy to share the benefits of mindfulness and meditation practices with everyone because I have experienced the shifts first hand and know how powerful these practices can be. Holding space for whatever arises, we can take a journey together into a more mindful and harmonious you.

What can students expect to experience in your class?

Expect to slow down! In my classes, I tend towards a gentle practice with ease and grace. My mission is to create the conditions necessary to allow for pure awareness to arise naturally from within, and to acknowledge it when it occurs. This includes various mindfulness, meditation, and breathing techniques to awaken the light of awareness within in a subtle, peaceful way. I also use other modalities to help you drop into the present moment, the only moment there is. These include aromatherapy, short stories, poems, Solfeggio frequencies, and singing bowl tonalities. I'll see you on the mat loves!

What is the greatest benefit of yoga?

The ability to recreate the relationships you have with all of the different layers of what makes you, you. Yoga allows an opportunity to tune into your multidimensionality and embrace all parts of yourself. Equally, falling in love with yourself through re-membering who you are. It is a daily practice that moves the world closer to harmony and realizing interdependence. Can't go wrong here!

Personal Inclusivity Statement

I stand for what I stand on. The Earth needs us to shift our relationship to life itself. We start to create this new relationship through connecting with our truest selves. Authenticity is key for me. When my mother was killed in 2021, I made it my vow to alchemize this experience into contributing to a more nonviolent world, no matter what that would take or where it would take me. I am so happy I landed here at Mala Yoga to create a safe, nonviolent space for anyone and everyone having a life experience, in whatever way that expresses as.

Equally, as a Highly Sensitive Person with Sensory Processing Sensitivity, I can only process information deeply, which tends to overload my nervous system very easily in this hyper-paced world.

With all of this experience, I feel so much gratitude to be able to share these gifts with you all to create a more equitable, just, and peaceful world, starting with each one of you and your beautiful selves!

May all beings be free of suffering.
