Join Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and Nurse, PJ DeCamp for a very special yoga series! 30 Minutes of gentle yoga with use of props (including chairs), 10 minutes of meditation, and concluding with a 20 minute discussion of special health topics:


Mindful Living - creating habits to live in the moment, to be fully present while reducing anxiety as we quiet the sympathetic nervous system and activate the parasympathetic system.  We change gears from stress to rest and digest mode.  


Promoting Cognitive Health - How  movement, nourishment, social activities, and practicing lifestyle behaviors promotes a healthy brain! Cognition includes memory, language, intuition, judgement, emotions, and learning capacity.

Yin is a particularly deep & meaningful practice, which brings you into stillness of the body, breath & mind- something we all seem to crave more in our fast paced & constantly connected world. Yin yoga targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, bones & joints, as well as the meridians of the body. Yin yoga challenges the practitioner to slow down & be aware of the present moment - lingering in poses & finding stillness of the body, breath & mind. Regular practice helps to enhance the flow of energy, release restrictions & promote healing on a physical & emotional level. Suitable for all levels, with great regenerative potential for the dedicated practitioner.

Ashtanga Class

Come practice the original Vinyasa! Learn the fundamental movements found in the ancient practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Emphasizing pranayama (breath), the practice includes Namaskars (Sun Salutations) & standing postures & is the preparation for building an authentic Ashtanga practice.

Kundalini Yoga is the original of the twenty-two schools of yoga & is called the "mother yoga." It works on your entire nervous & glandular system. The word "kundalini" means awareness & manifesting the hidden potential of that awareness. In the yogic tradition Kundalini energy is portrayed as a coiled serpent lying dormant at the base of the spine. To raise the Kundalini means to awaken & enliven this creative energy.

Kundalini Yoga is an effective way to both strengthen & stretch the muscles. The increased flexibility gained will help prevent injury & avoid pain. In addition, because Kundalini Yoga incorporates the physical aspects of yoga, along with the mind & spirit, into an integrated system, you gain a working understanding of the mind/body connection. The meditations you learn will improve your concentration & focus which will improve your ability to function at your best. Finally, you will feel refreshed & attentive after each session indicating a stronger & more balanced immune & nervous system. Each class includes meditation, a series of exercises & deep relaxation.

Indulge yourself with a restorative yoga practice. Center yourself in breath & body & align the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time. Use of props assist in helping you to hold poses longer. Class concludes with guided meditation, taking your mind to a place of peace.

You will learn the basic foundations in the asana practice & build into fun peak poses. Each class walks through meditation, foundations, alignment & pranayama (breath work). Come learn and explore your inner strength on your yoga mat.

School Kids Meditating

Grounded Kids Yoga teaches way more than down dog! Through Yoga, kids will learn how to tune in to, balance & direct their energy so they feel their best physically & emotionally. They are free to express their personal, authentic & unique gifts in a powerful way. Taught by a certified teacher & yoga therapist, kids will develop mindfulness, building positive self-esteem while growing their little hearts to hold empathy for the world around them. 

Yoga Equipment

This class focuses on proper alignment & breathing. Props are used to find stability in each pose to enable proper breathing. There is also emphasis on slow transitions between poses. In addition, beginner level pranayama (breath work) techniques, mudras (yoga for your hands), chakra meditation & yoga nidra (sleeping with awareness) is also taught in this class. Teacher may also share spiritual readings in class for students who desire to learn more than just the physical asanas.
