Join us in exploring a modern approach to the traditional Mysore-style Ashtanga practice. This is a self-paced practice rooted in the Ashtanga method while embracing what experience, science, and wisdom teach us: every body is different, every season of life is different, and our practice should evolve alongside us.
Rather than striving to perform a fixed sequence perfectly, we'll cultivate discernment. You'll be encouraged to repeat poses that deserve more attention, modify when appropriate, substitute movements that better support your body, and develop the confidence to make thoughtful choices within the structure of the practice.
Throughout practice, I'll offer individualized guidance through observation, hands-on adjustments (with consent), and personalized instruction. This may include alternative postures for traditional gateway asanas, modifications, or progressive steps that better support your body and your stage of practice. My intention is to help you cultivate a sustainable, lifelong practice while honoring both the integrity of the practice and your own unique needs.
